UK Imposes Sanctions on Moscow Industrial Bank

OREANDA-NEWS The United Kingdom has imposed restrictive measures against Moscow Industrial Bank, according to the website of the British government, Gazeta.ru reported.
The country's sanctions, among other things, imply the freezing of assets. The reason for the introduction of the restrictions is indicated as the support of the Russian government and the receipt of benefits from activities associated with the state.
Earlier it was reported that the UK imposed sanctions against businessman Vladimir Potanin, businessman Said Gutseriyev, as well as the governor of the Kemerovo region Sergey Tsivilev. The sanctions imply a ban on entering Great Britain and freezing of assets in case they are discovered.
The sanctions list also includes the head of the pipeline company Velesstroy, Croatian Mihajlo Perentsevich, Colonel General Sergey Rudskoy, first deputy head of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, and other Russian citizens.
The day before, the U.S. Treasury Department announced the expansion of sanctions against Russia. In particular, former Russian Defense Minister Anatoly Serdyukov, his wife and children, former Defense Ministry Chief of Staff Yevgeniya Vasilyeva, and TV host Tina Kandelaki were put on the US sanctions list.
