OREANDA-NEWS The revenue of the Russian Google LLC in 2023 was equal to 0 rubles, it follows from the company's financial statements. A year earlier, the figure was 24.2 billion rubles. The net loss in 2023 decreased to 3.13 billion rubles from 10.2 billion rubles in 2022.
After the start of the special operation in Ukraine, Google, like other foreign companies, suspended operations in Russia. In particular, on March 4, 2022, the American corporation closed the possibility of selling advertising in Russia. Then plans for the removal of Google employees became known. In reporting on the results of 2022, Google indicated that there was only one employee left in the company.
On October 18, 2023, the Moscow Arbitration Court declared Google bankrupt and imposed surveillance for six months. After the appeal, supervision was again appointed in November with the approval of a new interim manager — Valery Talyarovsky from the Interregional Center of Experts and Professional Managers. Talyarovsky reported that the amount of claims of creditors of the company included in the register is almost 53.6 billion rubles.
In March of this year, Google's "daughter" began collecting debts herself. In particular, she filed a lawsuit against the advertising agency MGCom (LLC "Emjikom") for 3 billion rubles, the marketing agencies R-Broker and Adventum for 111 million rubles and 144 million rubles, respectively, and others, according to the File of Arbitration cases.
These lawsuits have nothing to do with the interests of the parent Google, since the Russian company has been declared bankrupt, experts explained to RBC. The funds are collected not in the interests of the founder, but in the interests of the bankrupt's creditors.
