OREANDA-NEWS  At the beginning of 2024, the number of recipients of a funded pension will double compared to January 2023. Izvestia writes about this with reference to the explanatory note to the draft budget of the Pension and Social Insurance Fund (SFR) for 2024-2026.

The number of such citizens will increase from 107 to 209.9 thousand in a year, the SFR predicted. At the same time, the growth will continue in the next two years — up to 286.1 thousand in 2025 and 362.2 thousand recipients of a funded pension in 2026.

The Ministry of Labor explained the trend by the fact that more and more people are reaching the age when such a pension is assigned — 55 years for women and 60 years for men. The ministry also recalled that the formation of funded pensions began in 2002 for citizens born in 1967 and younger.
