OREANDA-NEWS The money received from the sale of the nationalized apartment of the family of the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky in Yalta will go to the aid of SVO. This was told by the senator of the Federation Council from the Republic of Crimea Sergey Tsekov.
"The money will go to support SVO — it has been known for a long time. As I understand it, the head of the republic will determine where exactly. The total amount turned out to be twice as much as stated," the senator said.
He also noted that the fears of some Russians who did not want to invest in Crimea, because it could go back to Ukraine, were not justified. This, according to Mr. Tsekov, is due to the cost of real estate on the peninsula, which has not decreased.
In October 2022, the Crimean authorities adopted a law allowing the nationalization of the property of citizens of unfriendly countries. Later, the head of the Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, said that the apartment of the wife of the President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, in Livadia could be nationalized "on principle." In September, it became known that the real estate of the President of Ukraine was estimated at $ 200-300 thousand. Yesterday, on October 30, the apartment was sold at auction for 44.3 million rubles.
