OREANDA-NEWS According to the results of 2023, the key items of expenditure for Russians were spending on food, clothing, shoes, as well as on transport and housing. This is reported by RBC with reference to the results of a study by the NAFI analytical center and Ingosstrakh analysts.
Most of the budget is spent on these items of expenditure by citizens. At the same time, the key item of expenditure for citizens in 2023 was the cost of food — they accounted for a total of 31 percent of monthly expenses. Spending on clothes and shoes came in second place (15 percent), and housing and transport costs closed the top 3 (11 percent each, respectively), experts said.
Russians attributed housing and communal services and rent costs to housing costs, and transportation costs to car, bus, subway, etc. Among other popular items of expenditure among Russians were spending on medical services and medicines (9 percent), leisure and cultural events (8 percent), education (4 percent), as well as on cafes and restaurants (4 percent), the analysts concluded.
In the second half of October, the publication of RBC with reference to the results of a survey conducted by analysts of the job search service hh.ru , reported that 45 percent of Russians no longer have enough salaries to meet basic needs (buying food, clothes, shoes, etc.). It also turned out that the monthly salaries of 36 percent of citizens hardly cover key needs. By that time, only 20 percent of Russians had enough salary to buy everything they needed.
