OREANDA-NEWS The first special economic zone (SEZ) in the region "Nyagan" will appear in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug (Yugra). The decree on its creation was signed by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, according to the government's website.

On the territory of the new SEZ with an area of 273 hectares, enterprises for the production of furniture, polymer pipes, as well as feed protein will operate. Also, a data processing center will be placed in Nyagan.

It is expected that about 25 billion rubles will be invested in these projects. The new production facilities will provide jobs for about 800 people.

Earlier it became known that by 2024, the Novocheboksarsk SEZ will be created in Chuvashia. Also, a new SEZ "Khimprom" will appear in the Volgograd region. Methanol, acetic acid, bioproteins and chemical plant protection products will be produced there.
