The Deputy Head of the Pension Fund of Russia is Detained
OREANDA-NEWS Alexey Ivanov is suspected of taking bribes, sources say.
On July 10, law enforcement agencies conducted investigative actions with the deputy chairman of the board of the Pension Fund (PFR) of Russia, Alexei Ivanov, a source close to Ivanov told RBC. The publication of TAdviser with reference to two interlocutors specified that Ivanov was detained. This is also reported by Kommersant with reference to three sources.
The information about the detention was confirmed by the source of Vedomosti, who knows this from an interlocutor familiar with the case materials, as well as a person close to the FIU. The first one said that a criminal case was initiated on the fact of a bribe. According to him, an employee of the IT integrator Technoserv, who is suspected of giving a bribe, was also detained. The case is connected with the contracts of the past years for the supply of equipment, said the source.
Later, the head of the FIU, Anton Drozdov, confirmed Ivanov’s arrest, RIA Novosti reports.
Necessary assistance is rendered to the investigating authorities, the representative of the Pension Fund said. According to him, the fund is working normally.
According to a TAdviser source, Ivanova is suspected of taking a bribe. Another interviewee claims that the seizure was preceded by the seizure of documents to the FIU, as well as in the offices of Technoserv and Redsys.
Presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the Kremlin had seen news of the detention of Ivanov. He refrained from commenting.
