OREANDA-NEWS The Moscow Arbitration Court allowed Google's Russian subsidiary to pay more than 800,000 rubles of debt owed to its employees, and only then proceed to the debt owed to Russian TV channels, which reached almost 3 billion rubles.
"The court recognized the satisfaction of the claims of former employees of Google LLC, whose claims are included in the second stage of the register of creditors' claims of Google LLC, as a priority over the claims of current creditors of Google LLC, whose claims are taken into account in the fifth stage of the register of current creditors' claims of Google LLC," the announcement of the bankruptcy the manager posted on the federal resource.
Earlier, Russian courts ordered Google to restore Russian media accounts on YouTube. In total, about 20 lawsuits were considered, the plaintiffs were Zvezda, Channel One, VGTRK, Parliamentary Television, Moscow Media, TV Center, NTV and others. For each day of non-performance, a fine of 100,000 rubles is charged, and the amount of the penalty increases exponentially.
According to the official calculations of the bankruptcy trustee, the amount of debt is 2.8 duodecillion rubles (the amount with 39 zeros) and continues to grow. At the same time, it is listed in the register of current expenses of the bankrupt (the Russian "daughter" of Google), therefore, it must be extinguished in priority over other debtors.
