OREANDA-NEWS A Coin Week campaign will be held in Russia to exchange small change for paper bills, the Central Bank said.
"The campaign will be held from October 7 to October 20 across the country. You can exchange small change for paper money not only in banks, but also in chain stores. In bank branches, small change can be put into an account," the statement says.
It is clarified that in some regions such networkers as "Monetka", "Auchan", "Pyaterochka" and "Chizhik" participate. You can check the availability of exchange points in a particular city on the coin week website.RF.
The regulator noted that the largest number of participants in the actions is represented in the Southern Federal District. There are several outlets of the Monetka chain in Moscow.
As for banks, as indicated in the Central Bank, about four thousand divisions of 159 banks and more than 3.5 thousand retail outlets will take part in the event.
During the previous campaign, which took place from May 20 to June 2, the Russians gave away more than 31 million coins, returning 135 million rubles to circulation.
