The Bitcoin Exchange Rate Rose Sharply by 11%, Exceeding the Mark of $53 Thousand
OREANDA-NEWS. The bitcoin exchange rate rose sharply by 11%, exceeding the mark of $53 thousand. At the same time, last week, the most popular cryptocurrency lost 17% of it's value, falling below $50 thousand on Friday, April 23.
According to CoinDesk at 13:21 Moscow time, the bitcoin exchange rate was $53,445. Other popular cryptocurrencies are also actively becoming more expensive. According to the Kraken exchange, the exchange rate of Ethereum rose by 12.6%, Litecoin rose by 12%, Bitcoin Cash - by 11.9%.
According to experts, many investors took advantage of the recent fall in the cryptocurrency exchange rate as an opportunity to buy them. Bitcoin is waiting for a «good future», but now it is too risky a financial instrument. This was stated by Georgy Ostapkovich, Director of the Center for Market Research at the Higher School of Economics. According to him, it is necessary to wait for the involvement of bitcoin in the stock exchange — now the major players prefer more traditional investment tools. In addition, too many structural elements of the cryptocurrency remain in the shadows.
As the expert noted, now only adventurers are invested in bitcoin, 80% of which will eventually lose due to the unpredictable behavior of the cryptocurrency.
