OREANDA-NEWS  New banknotes in denominations of 5 and 10 rubles. they have already entered circulation in a number of Russian subjects. This was stated by Deputy Chairman of the Bank of Russia Sergey Belov during a meeting with representatives of the Association of Banks of Russia (ADB).

"Now, at the end of last year, we delivered them to the regions in parallel, in a number of regions they are in circulation," Belov said in response to a question about the situation with the return of 5 and 10 rubles notes to circulation.

In the second half of July 2023, the deputy chairman of the Central Bank, who oversees cash circulation, Belov, told the Izvestia newspaper that at the end of the year, Russia plans to resume printing a ten-ruble banknote of the 1997 model. Its release was discontinued in 2013.

At the end of June, Belov announced the approval of the concept of banknotes in denominations of 1000 rubles and 5000 rubles. by the Board of Directors of the Bank of Russia.

At the same time, the deputy chairman of the regulator said that the Russian Central Bank was not considering the possibility of issuing a banknote of 10 thousand rubles.
