OREANDA-NEWS  The increase in the Central Bank's key rate, which most analysts expect in July, is unlikely to have a significant impact on market lending — it is already very tight, the head of the Bank's expert analytics department told Prime news agency.

According to the marketplace, the average rate on unsecured loans today is 22.5 percent. "This is already a pretty high value," she said.

Therefore, whatever decision the Bank of Russia makes in July, it will not have a significant impact on rates — they are already at the limit. Unless, of course, absolutely stressful scenarios with a rate increase of up to 20 percent or more are connected.

A significant reduction in the rate should not be expected earlier than 2025. Thus, mass lending to the population has significantly shrunk, the analyst concluded.
