OREANDA-NEWS  The Russian government has allocated an additional 10 billion rubles to support grain producers, according to the official Telegram channel of the Cabinet of Ministers.

"The government continues to systematically support agricultural entrepreneurs. An additional 10 billion rubles will be allocated to compensate producers of wheat, rye, corn and barley. These funds will make it possible to provide state support to even more agricultural producers, including those who work in Central Russia, the Volga region and Siberia," the message says.

Priority will be given to farmers whose incomes are lower than the national average, including due to the specifics of the climate, as well as the remoteness of their regions from seaports.

"Subsidies will help market participants compensate up to 50% of the costs of production and sale of grain crops. Such support will help preserve acreage, increase export capacity and create new jobs in rural areas," the Cabinet noted.
