OREANDA-NEWS  Sberbank Investments gave access to the stock market to teenagers from 14 years old, who will now be able, with the consent of their parents, to open a brokerage account and make transactions on their own, while high-risk assets will be unavailable to them, and a limit of 25 thousand rubles per year will be set on the account, the broker's press release says.

"Teenagers from the age of 14 can now open a brokerage account in Savings Investments and make transactions on their own. They will be able to get their first investment experience, provided that their parents have given their consent. The whole process will take only a few minutes," the message says.

"By taking the first steps in the stock market, young investors will learn how to manage money competently. At the same time, teenagers will not be able to buy high-risk assets, such as derivatives or high-risk bonds. They will not be able to trade in debt on such a brokerage account. There is also a limit on the amount on the account - it can only be replenished by 25,000 rubles per year," the release notes.

Teenagers can open a brokerage account in the Savings Investments application, subject to approval from the parent in the Sberbank banking application, the press release clarifies.

"If an adult agrees, a young investor will have access to trading on the stock exchange. So far, you can open an account only in the Savings Investments app on Android, but you can use an already open account in the iOS app. It is convenient to go through all the steps remotely, provided that a connection is established between the parent and the child in the Sbera application (if there is no such connection yet, it can be established at any bank office)," the press release adds.
