OREANDA-NEWS  Dental services in Russia may rise in price by a third (30 percent) by the New Year. The Telegram channel Mash warned about a possible price increase.

Industry representatives cite the weakening of the ruble, Western sanctions and complicated logistics as the reason for the rise in price. Most of the materials used came from abroad: imported anesthesia, fillings and composites, polishing discs and rubber bands were used in clinics. After the departure of Western manufacturers, there were practically no stocks left in stores, and the quality of analogues turned out to be lower.

According to sources, the cost of implants from Switzerland will increase by 30 percent. More budget options from Korea will rise in price by 10-15 percent.

In November 2022, Russians noted an increase in the price of medical services by 15 percent. Prices rose the most in industries where a lot of imported consumables are used. According to Olga Kuptsova, deputy director of the Methodology and Underwriting Department of the Federal State Insurance Company, the cost of dental and orthodontist services has risen by 20-30 percent.

Dentists have become one of the highest paid specialists in Russia. So, at the end of September, the salary of such a specialist in Tyumen amounted to 350-750 thousand rubles.
