OREANDA-NEWS  By the end of November 2023, Russians' cash savings increased by 1.6 percent compared to October. As of December 1, Russians had a total of 96.9 billion dollars in their hands, Prime reports, citing statistical data from analysts of the Central Bank (CB).

In November, the volume of savings of Russians in foreign banks also increased. By the beginning of December, the figure increased by 1.7 percent compared to October and amounted to $ 74 billion. Over this period of time, the total volume of foreign currency deposits of citizens in domestic banks has also increased to $ 42 billion (plus 0.8 percent). Analysts recorded such dynamics for the first time since July 2022, the Central Bank concluded.

The total amount of cash savings of Russians has been growing for several months. Thus, by the end of October 2023, the indicator increased by 1 percent, or by $ 955 million. In the second month of autumn, citizens' savings in foreign banks also increased.
