OREANDA-NEWS  Against the background of the ongoing weakening of the ruble, Russians in October continued to sell euros and dollars more often than they bought them, while the share of cash currency exchange increased sharply, amounting to 91 percent against 70 percent in September. This is reported by TASS with reference to the research of the Russian Standard bank.

In general, from transactions with these two foreign currencies, citizens still prefer the American one. Last month, the number of dollar conversions turned out to be 2.4 times more than euros (in September — 2.6 times).

In October, cash dollars were brought to the Russian Federation in exchangers 12 percent more often than they were bought there, in the case of the euro, this difference was even more significant, amounting to 39 percent. At the same time, the total average check for one dollar exchange operation in October decreased quite significantly month—on-month - from 681 to 500 dollars and from 532 to 443 euros.

Earlier it became known that Russians are ready to start buying dollars when their value drops to 60-70 rubles. This turned out to be the most common response based on the results of the survey Bankiros.ru , which was attended by 1,740 people.
