OREANDA-NEWS The volume of Russian investments in US government bonds decreased in July to a record $24 million, the lowest figure since the beginning of 2020. This is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to data from the American Ministry of Finance.

In June, investments in securities amounted to $ 44 million, in May — 45 million, in April — 46 million. A year earlier, this figure was $29 million and fluctuated between $28 and $73 million during the year.

In September, the volume of Russian investments in long-term US bonds amounted to $22 million and two million in short-term ones. Japan remains the largest holder of securities with an indicator of 1.115 trillion dollars, China is in second place (776.5 billion), and the United Kingdom is in third (728.3 billion).

In August, it became known that in 2024 Russia entered the top three largest economies in the world with the lowest public debt per capita.
