OREANDA-NEWS The head of the Ministry of Finance of Nepal, Bar Shaman Poon, at a meeting with Russian Ambassador Alexei Novikov, spoke about plans to attract investments in hydropower and the production of chemical fertilizers in the country and invited Russians to participate in projects.

"If Russia is interested in investing, we are ready to create an atmosphere for this," the minister said. In response, the diplomat promised to discuss this issue with investors in his country, noting that "from a geopolitical point of view, Nepal has great potential for Russian investments."

Earlier, Russia named the sectors of the economy that were leading in terms of investment growth in 2023. The top 3 in this indicator includes investments in the production of finished metal products, computers and electrical equipment.
