OREANDA-NEWS Russia anticipates the removal of sanctions imposed on the Rosselkhoznadzor and other financial institutions engaged in international food trade, according to Maria Zakharova, spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry.
"We anticipate that the sanctions will be lifted from Rosselkhoznadzor and other financial entities involved in international food and fertilizer trade. We also anticipate their reintegration into the SWIFT system," she stated during a press briefing.
Following the meeting of the Russian and American expert groups, a statement was released on the Kremlin website on Tuesday. The statement reflects the agreement reached by the Presidents of Russia and the United States. The statement outlines the commitment of the Russian and American sides to implement the Black Sea initiative, which includes ensuring the security of navigation in the Black Sea, prohibiting the use of force, and preventing the use of commercial vessels for military purposes. The statement also emphasizes the importance of implementing appropriate control measures through the inspection of such vessels. However, the agreement will not come into effect until a number of conditions are met, including the lifting of sanctions restrictions imposed on Rosselkhoznadzor.
