"Renault Russia" Will Create an Information Development Center in Moscow
OREANDA-NEWS Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin and CEO of Renault Russia Andrey Pankov signed a cooperation agreement at the Russian Investment Forum, which involves the creation and development of an information development Center in Moscow.
"The main task of the Center will be the development of a new generation of intelligent systems that combine transport infrastructure and urban services," - said in the materials of the press service of the Moscow city hall to sign the agreement.
It is noted that Renault Russia plans to invest at least 350 million rubles in the project of creating an information development Center in Moscow. The agreement is designed for five years.
As the Mayor of Moscow Sergei Sobyanin said in an interview with the TV channel "Russia-24", one of the tasks of the Center will be to bind the automotive industry to the needs of the capital. "Foreign automakers are already beginning not only to engage in industry, but also to create intellectual development centers that provide a charge for the creation of new machines, new projects, trying to combine the tasks of the automotive industry and the problems of the city. One of the tasks of the intellectual center is to combine all city services with the produced cars. This is driving on the roads, and Parking, and payment, and urban services, and dispatching, a huge pool associated with drones, artificial intelligence" - said the Mayor.
According to this information, in recent years Renault has invested about 15 billion rubles in the capital, in the coming years the company intends to invest another 6 billion rubles in its production. Every year the company produces 100 thousand cars in Moscow.
The modern history of Renault group in Russia began in 1998, when it was created by "Avtoframos" - joint venture of Renault group and the city of Moscow. Today, Moscow Renault is a full-cycle plant for the production of motor vehicles. The plant has the highest level of localization of production among foreign automakers operating in Russia (over 60%). The number of employees in Moscow is about 5 thousand.
