OREANDA-NEWS In the second quarter of 2019, revenue from the Taxi segment increased by 116% to 8.8 billion rubles compared to 4 billion rubles in the second quarter of 2018. This direction brought a fifth of the company's total revenue. 

The Taxi segment of Yandex, which includes a taxi online ordering service, Food, as well as the development of unmanned vehicles began to bring money to the company in the second quarter of 2019. Adjusted EBITDA amounted to 423 million rubles. A year earlier, it was negative and amounted to 1.8 million rubles in the second quarter of 2018. 

In the first six months of 2019, Taxi's revenue increased by 129% to 16.4 billion rubles compared to 7.2 billion rubles in the first half of 2018. 

Earlier in this segment only taxi service was profitable - starting from the third quarter of 2018. The number of Yandex.Taxi trips from April to June 2019 increased by 49% compared to the same period in 2018.
