OREANDA-NEWS Russian President Vladimir Putin called on Russian banks, without fear of sanctions, which in any case have already been imposed, to work more actively in new regions of the country.

At a meeting on the socio-economic development of the new subjects of the Russian Federation, Putin noted the success of economic recovery in these regions, drawing attention to industry, industry, the resumption of work of machine-building, metallurgy and mining enterprises.

"Support for farmers has been established, banks and shops are operating. As for the banks, I would ask you to pay attention to our colleagues, they will hear us for sure: there is nothing to be afraid of, everything is what they were afraid of before the sanctions, everything has already happened, what is there to be afraid of. We need to enter these territories more actively and work there," Putin said.
