OREANDA-NEWS  The indexation of public sector salaries should be carried out as early as January 2023, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.

"Prices have increased noticeably. As I have already said, salaries in the economy as a whole are increasing at least in nominal value, so in January next year it is necessary to index the salaries of state employees," Putin said during a meeting with members of the government on Wednesday.

He noted that it is also necessary to allocate the necessary financial assistance to the regions that need it. "This should be done at the beginning of the year," the President stressed.
