OREANDA-NEWS  Federation Council Chairman Valentina Matvienko said that preparations for her visit to Ethiopia are underway, it is too early to talk about the timing of the trip, the details are being worked out through diplomatic channels.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said earlier that Matvienko is ready to visit Ethiopia in the coming months.

"Preparations for the visit are underway. As for the timing, it's too early to talk about it yet. While work is underway through diplomatic channels, details are being worked out," Matvienko told reporters, answering a question from a RIA Novosti correspondent.

The Chairman of the Federation Council is on an official visit to Pakistan from October 27 to October 29.
