OREANDA-NEWS. The Federation Council of the Russian Federation approved amendments that make it easier for foreign organizations to open an account in Russian banks, as well as their tax registration to pay for gas in rubles, writes RIA Novosti. Registration with the tax authority of such companies will become possible upon the application of the credit institution that will service the account. The draft law also provides for accounting for updated declarations filed by foreign organizations with the tax authorities.
The revised tax declarations will be taken into account by the tax authorities in the taxpayer's settlements with the budget system of the Russian Federation after an in-house tax audit of such a declaration has been carried out or after the expiration of its period. This applies to taxpayers in respect of which tax monitoring is not carried out, the Federation Council explained.
As the senators note, taxpayers do not always submit updated declarations, thereby underestimating their tax liabilities.
The law shall enter into force on the day of its official publication.
Earlier, Alexei Antonov, head of the investment consulting department at Alor Broker, said that the ruble could lose its positions on the stock exchange only if the political situation deteriorates or Western countries refuse to pay for Russian gas in the currency of the Russian Federation. He believes that the ruble has no other scenario than the one according to which it will continue to grow.
