OREANDA-NEWS In Yalta, a sculptural composition will be installed to a local barking dog named Mukhtar, whom locals also nicknamed Hatiko, the press service of the city administration told RIA Novosti.

The dog died in August. He was considered one of the sights of the city, was well known to locals and tourists, as he often performed together with a street musician. It seemed to the audience that a local street dog was singing along to the musicians.

"Residents of Yalta appealed to the administration with an initiative to perpetuate the memory of the dog. This idea is supported by the head of the city," the press service said.

The sculptural composition is planned to be installed on the embankment of the city, where the dog came for many years, and waited for his first owner, for which he was nicknamed Hachiko.
