OREANDA-NEWS. Ukrainians for the year began to pay for housing and communal services by almost a third more. In September, 11 billion hryvnias (just over 30 billion rubles) were counted to citizens for communal services. This is evidenced by the data of the State Statistics Service of the country.
Compared to September 2020, the amount of utility bills in Ukraine increased by 32.5% or 2.7 billion hryvnia (7.37 billion rubles), the report says.
At the same time, the Ukrainians themselves paid 12.2 billion hryvnia (33.3 billion rubles) in September 2021, which is 1.2 billion (3.27 billion rubles) more than the required amount.
According to the State Statistics Service, by the end of September, the debt of the population for various categories of utilities decreased slightly. Thus, Ukrainians owe 23.1 billion hryvnia (63.06 billion rubles) for the supply and distribution of gas, which is 0.2 billion (546 million rubles) less than in the previous month. And for heat and hot water - 18.8 billion hryvnia (51.32 billion rubles). The amount of debt over the month decreased by 0.7 billion (1.91 billion rubles).
Earlier, the head of the Union of Consumers of Utilities of Ukraine, Oleg Popenko, said that the country would face a catastrophe due to rising electricity prices. In his opinion, not a single Ukrainian company will withstand the increase in tariffs, because cheap electricity is the foundation of the Ukrainian economy.
