The Ministry of science and higher education of the Russian Federation and Sberbank of Russia JSC from August 1, launched the project for state support of educational crediting in which frameworks students in obtaining credit will have a grace period for the duration of the training and an additional three months. The interest rate will not exceed 9% per annum, said the press service of the Ministry.

"Students will be given a grace period for the duration of the training and an additional three months. During the grace period the borrower pays the Bank the principal debt on an educational loan and part of the interest for the first and second years of using the educational credit. Beginning with the third year repayment of current interest are carried out in full," — stated in the message of the Ministry of education.

The program of educational credits has been frozen more than two years ago. In January of this year at a meeting with students of the University Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev promised that the loans will be back very soon. In the budget of 2019 for this purpose incorporated 128,9 million rubles.
