OREANDA-NEWS  The Government of the Russian Federation signed a decree on the appointment of monthly payments to combat veterans who took part in a special military operation, without submitting an application, as evidenced by a document published on the official website of regulatory legal acts.

"The monthly monetary payment to citizens from among the veterans of military operations who take part (assist in the performance of tasks) in a special military operation is established without filing an application from the date of recognition of a citizen as a veteran of military operations on the basis of information on the registration of a corresponding certificate of a single sample received by the Pension and Social Insurance Fund of the Russian Federation from federal executive authorities, federal state bodies issuing these certificates," the document says.

Earlier, the Ministry of Labor explained that its participants will be able to receive payments immediately from the day of recognition as a combat veteran without having to apply to the services. Previously, in order to assign payments to combat veterans, it was necessary to submit an application online through the Public Services portal or in person at the Social Fund department and at the MFC or send it by Russian Post.

The monthly cash payment is due to preferential categories of citizens: people with disabilities, participants of the Great Patriotic War, combat veterans and some other citizens with the right to federal support measures.
