Following the results of the direct line, Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed the government to ensure that amendments to the legislation of the Russian Federation are envisaged by October 1 of this year, which provide for an increase from January 1, 2020, to the amount of allowances for children aged from 1.5 to 3 years.

 If the average family income is less than two subsistence minimums in the region, the payment for the care of a child from 1.5 to 3 years old will be equal to the subsistence minimum.  From January 1, 2020, the innovation will take effect.

 In particular, the president recalled that as part of state support for families with children, the state decided to pay families with the first and second children a monthly allowance in the amount of the subsistence minimum of the child  from 2019.

 Its value varies depending on the region of residence, but the national average is about 10.5–11 thousand rubles.
