OREANDA-NEWS The ban on anonymous replenishment of e-wallets is planned to be introduced in Russia, according to RBC publication belonging to Grigory Berezkin. The restriction will affect Yandex.Money, QIWI Wallet, WebMoney, PayPal, VK Pay and other similar systems.
To complete a transfer, you will have to use a bank account to identify yourself. Thanks to this, it will be possible to establish the identity of the payer, as well as to limit suspicious transactions.
It is noted that the decision was made due to the fact that online wallets can be used to finance terrorism or the spread of drugs.
The proposal has already been approved by the Council of the Federation. After Russian President Vladimir Putin signs the document, it will enter into force after the official publication.
