OREANDA-NEWS Google's Russian division, Google LLC, has asked the Moscow Arbitration Court to lift the seizure of the company's accounts and property in Russia. This is reported by TASS with reference to the press service of the court.

"The court received four lawsuits from Google LLC. In them, the company asks the court to declare illegal the decision to refuse to satisfy the application to the FSSP for the removal of the arrest from the funds and property of Google LLC,"the court said.

The date of the meeting on the company's claims has not yet been set.

In May 2022, the Moscow Arbitration Court seized Google's assets for 500 million rubles. The reason was a lawsuit in which the NTV television company demanded that Google restore access to the channel's account on the YouTube video hosting. Later it became known that the Moscow court imposed similar fines on the Russian division of the company on the claims of the VGTRK media holding and RT and 360 TV channels.

Against the background of fines, Google's "daughter" in Russia decided to start bankruptcy proceedings. The Moscow Arbitration Court began the bankruptcy procedure of the Russian division of the company on September 12.
