OREANDA-NEWS Gazprombank, after being included in the sanctions list of the US Treasury, warned about problems with UnionPay cards abroad, according to the bank's newsletter to customers.

""Since November 21, there may be difficulties in the operation of UnionPay payment system cards abroad. If you are abroad, we recommend using cash," the message says.

The United States on Thursday imposed sanctions against Gazprombank and six of its foreign subsidiaries. All assets of companies subject to sanctions are blocked in the United States, and American citizens are prohibited from any financial transactions involving them. Previously, Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the United Kingdom imposed sanctions against Gazprombank.
