OREANDA-NEWS   Foreign citizens working in Moscow on labor patents in 2022 transferred almost 32 billion rubles of personal income tax to the budget of the Russian capital, this amount became a record for all eight years of the system of labor patents for migrants, Maria Bagreeva, head of the capital's Department of economic policy and development, told reporters. The law comes into force one month after its official publication, but not earlier than the first day of the next excise tax period.

Thus, excise tax rates on cigarettes are indexed "by 2% in addition to what was in the summer, and for liquids and heated tobacco — by 11%," explained Deputy Finance Minister Alexei Sazanov in January. Moreover, according to him, excise rates are indexed in such a way as to prevent budget revenues from falling out due to the abolition of excise duty on electronic nicotine delivery systems.

Currently, excise tax rates for liquids for electronic nicotine delivery systems for 2023 are set at 18 rubles per milliliter, for 2024 — 19 rubles, for 2025 — 20 rubles; for tobacco (tobacco products) intended for consumption by heating — 7839 rubles, 8153 rubles and 8479 rubles for a kilogram; and for the vapes and heating devices themselves — 64 rubles, 67 rubles and 70 rubles for one piece.
