OREANDA-NEWS. The Rotenberg family, whose key asset is Mostotrest, for the first time in six years, took first place in the ranking of the richest family clans in Russia, displacing the former leaders of the list - the Gutserievs. This was reported on the website of the Forbes magazine.
"The Rotenbergs took first place on the list this year - their fortune increased by $ 270 million in a year, to $ 5.45 billion. The result is $ 100 million less than in 2014, when the family topped the ranking for the first and only time." - writes Forbes. According to the newspaper, the Rotenbergs' fortune increased primarily due to one major deal - the sale of the Stroygazmontazh company to the state-owned Gazprom for 75 billion rubles.
The second place in the ranking was taken by the Guriev family, who own Phosagro, with a fortune of $ 5.1 billion. This year they were included in the rating for the first time. The Gutseriev business clan, which ranked first for five times in a row, has moved to third place this year with a fortune of $ 3.2 billion - $ 2.45 billion less than last year. As noted by Forbes, due to the "coronacrisis", the Gutserievs' projects in real estate have greatly depreciated, and quotations of Russneft, a member of the group, have also fallen.
