OREANDA-NEWS The provision of military assistance to Ukraine and the use of proceeds from frozen assets of the Russian Federation for it will be the topics of an informal meeting of EU defense ministers in Brussels on August 30, representative of the head of European diplomacy Nabila Massrali said.

"There will be a review of progress in providing military assistance to Ukraine. In particular, the ministers will discuss the use of emergency revenues (from Russian assets) and the G7 loan for additional military assistance to Ukraine," spokeswoman Josep Borrell said at a briefing in Brussels on Tuesday.

In addition, according to her, EU defense issues will be discussed. During the working lunch, the ministers will exchange views on the activities of the EU satellite center in recent years in the context of its application to support the security and defense of the EU in the future.

Informal meetings of the EU Ministerial Councils usually do not have a strict agenda, they do not make decisions and do not approve conclusions.
