OREANDA-NEWS It will not be possible to force Norway to share windfall profits from oil and gas sales with Ukraine, said Sergei Pravosudov, director of the National Energy Institute. So in a conversation with Lenta.ru, he commented on the proposal to Norway from Poland.

There is no way to force them to share the profit, only voluntarily, otherwise it is impossible. If only additional sanctions are imposed on them, but I don’t know who would dare to take this step. It’s just that this will lead to even greater price increases and complete madness,” Pravosudov said.

He added that it is strange when "someone drives up prices", some countries make money on it, and then they are blamed. Norway is not to blame for anything, it supplies as many energy resources as it can, Pravosudov noted.

State Secretary of the Norwegian Foreign Ministry Eivind Wad Petersson, in response to the words of Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, confirmed the growth of the country's income from oil exports. At the same time, he pointed to the problems of the Norwegian economy due to the fall in the stock market. The politician added that the citizens of Norway also have problems, as their incomes are affected by the rise in the price of electricity and gasoline. As for Ukraine, Norway has already helped it and will help it again, the diplomat said.
