OREANDA-NEWS  Butter prices in Russia increased by 1.4% in the week from October 29 to November 5, according to Rosstat materials.

Since the beginning of the year, butter has risen in price by almost 28%.

On October 23, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev gave a number of instructions in order to stabilize butter prices in the domestic market. In turn, the Ministry of Agriculture stated that the Russian market is fully provided with butter, and producers did not inform the Ministry of Agriculture or Soyuzmoloko about stopping or reducing its production.

"For the period from October 29 to November 5, 2024, prices changed: butter +1.4%, sour cream +1.0%, pasteurized milk +0.9%, sterilized milk and frozen fish +0.8%, hard, semi-hard and soft cheeses, millet +0.7%, chicken eggs and margarine +0.6% cottage cheese +0.5%, boiled sausages, rye and wheat bread, sunflower oil, canned vegetables for baby food and cookies +0.4%," the materials of Rosstat say.

Wheat flour, noodles and lunches in the dining room, cafe, snack bar (except for the dining room in the organization) rose in price by 0.3%, beef and table salt - by 0.2%, lamb, pork, pasta, black tea and vodka - by 0.1%.

According to Rosstat, from October 29 to November 5, prices for fruit and vegetable products increased by an average of 4%. Including cucumbers - by 8.6%, onions - by 6.3%, potatoes - by 6.1%, tomatoes - by 5.1%, table beets - by 4.3%, white cabbage - by 4%, carrots - by 2.3%, bananas - by 1.9%, apples - by 0.8%..

Prices for milk powder mixtures for baby food and buckwheat groats decreased by 0.5%, chicken meat by 0.2%, granulated sugar, rice, canned meat and fruit and berry for baby food by 0.1%.
