Billions of rubles have been allocated for retraining of Russians

OREANDA-NEWS In 2024, more than six billion rubles have been allocated for free retraining and additional education of Russians. This was stated by the head of the Cabinet of Ministers Mikhail Mishustin during a meeting with deputy prime ministers, his words are quoted by Interfax.
We are talking about financing the federal project "Employment Promotion". According to the Prime Minister, the state should help citizens become competitive in the labor market by mastering new competencies. "Over 150 thousand people were trained in this way last year, and this year over six billion rubles are provided for these purposes in the federal budget," Mishustin said.
According to him, the decision of the authorities should help with personnel in the Russian regions, including by taking into account the requests of the enterprises themselves. "And for those who have undergone retraining, it will be easier to find a job they like," the prime minister said.
He clarified that the authorities have expanded the range of possible participants in the program. Now Russians who have applied to employment services to find work, the disabled and guardians on parental leave for up to three years will be able to study for free, the head of the Cabinet added.
