OREANDA-NEWS  Russian banks do not have the right to unilaterally raise fees or introduce new ones. This was reported by RIA Novosti, with reference to the review of judicial practice of the Supreme Court.

It is noted that the precedent was the case of one Russian who sued the bank. The latter unilaterally changed the terms of the agreement and established a commission for the withdrawal of any amount. The court sided with the credit institution, however, the Supreme Court decided otherwise. They drew attention to the fact that Russian legislation regulating the activities of banks and consumer lending does not give the bank the right to unilaterally adjust the terms of the agreement and increase the size of commissions or introduce new commissions.

In early October, news broke that the American electronic payment system PayPal decided to charge a commission from Russians who had not used their accounts over the past year. We are talking about those cases when there is some kind of balance in the account. The commission will affect personal and corporate accounts.
