ADB has approved a $49.65 million loan to upgrade 105 kilometers of road connecting the capital, Dili, and the second-largest town, Baucau, located on the north coast with cofinancing from JICA. 

The project is called to improve the quality of providing public transportation services and to ensure sustainable operation and further development of existing public transport systems.
