OREANDA-NEWS More than 80 million rubles in investment proposals from venture funds and business angels were received by the finalists of the youth "Startup Race" at the Demodn of acceleration programs "Sber".
The demo day was held at the Cinema Park of the Mosfilm Film Studio and was an exciting show. The presentation of each startup was accompanied by graphics on the screen. In addition, the neural network from Sber illustrated every decision from the startup.
Teams from Moscow, Ryazan, Simferopol, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Khabarovsk, Belgorod, Yekaterinburg qualified for the finals.
The youngest of the finalists was 16 years old, and his work so impressed the rector of one of the prestigious technological universities – MIREA, that he immediately offered the finalist a grant for bachelor's degree right after graduation.
Two startups became the absolute winners: the telemedicine application "Smile" for monitoring dental health by photography (developed by startups from Belgorod) and the online service for developing public speaking skills of the Speech Up team from St. Petersburg. By the way, Beber became interested in the latest startup and offered a pilot project to young founders.
The topics of the final startups turned out to be very diverse: from caring for cattle to augmented reality in parks. By the way, the Moscow Innovation Agency became interested in the second project.
Two startups managed to get 15 million each. They got the already mentioned application "Smile", which monitors dental health, and the development of Diary Vision from Yekaterinburg, which provides online monitoring of cow health. The startup of Novosibirsk students Neurolumber for computer monitoring of the woodworking process received 13.6 million rubles for development.
