OREANDA-NEWS. Capital investment had increased by 21.2% y-o-y in 9M07, compared with 22.1% in 8M07, Alfa Bank's information service reports with reference to Rosstat. The figure is regarded as being still very positive when viewed against the 11.8% shown in 9M06. The 16.1% y-o-y growth in September alone demonstrates that investment is continuing to grow, and the slowdown is rather a base effect, reflecting the fact that this trend began in September of last year. The analysts believe that the continuing investment growth is crucial to maintaining high GD P growth rates and keeping inflation down.
