OREANDA-NEWS. A.M. Best is a Chairman Level Sponsor of the American Council of Life Insurers Annual Conference, to be held October 16–18 at the JW Marriott in the District of Columbia.

On October 18, A.M. Best will host the Hot Issue Breakfast and will present proposed changes to Best’s Credit Rating Methodology (BCRM) and Best’s Capital Adequacy Ratio (BCAR). Managing Director, Life/Health Ratings Division, Kenneth Frino, and Senior Director, Life/Health Ratings Division, Ken Johnson will participate.

Over the past year, A.M. Best has been working to update BCRM and BCAR, important considerations in A.M. Best’s rating analysis and assessment of a company’s capitalization. Mr. Frino and Mr. Johnson will discuss all planned changes and the anticipated impact. Additionally, they will also talk about public comments received to date.
