"KAZ Minerals completed the construction and started commissioning work at the Bozshakol clay plant. Oleg Novachuk, Chief Executive told about that during the conference call with President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbaev while the President visited Pavlodar region.

In December 2015 the work started at the Bozshakol clay plant with capacity of 25 million tons sulphide a year. The first copper concentrate was received in February 2016. With the launch of the new enterprise (5 mln ton ore/year) the total capacity is going to reach 30 mln tons/year. It is expected to commence production of saleable copper concentrate in 2016".
