OREANDA-NEWS. Fitch Ratings has affirmed SSGA Global Managed Volatility Equity Fund's 'Strong' Fund Quality Rating. The fund is managed by State Street Global Advisors (SSGA).

SSGA Global Managed Volatility Equity Fund is a Luxembourg SICAV with USD442m of assets at end-August 2016, up 70% from a year ago. It follows a model-driven investment approach seeking to build a low-volatility portfolio invested in global equities. The fund does not have a target volatility strategy but aims to be less exposed than the MSCI World Index to market segments with high volatility.
