OREANDA-NEWS. National Company KazMunayGas (Astana), whose securities are officially listed on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), has informed KASE of the following:

On September 1, 2016 an Addendum No. 6 to the Agreement No. 2609 dated April 21, 2008 for the exploration of hydrocarbons in "Zhambyl" field, located in the Caspian Sea, between the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, NC "KazMunayGas" and KC KAZAKH B.V. was signed.

According to the Addendum No. 6 to the Agreement, the exploration period was extended and changed from April 22, 2016 to April 21, 2018, and 27% of subsoil use rights which previously belonged to KC KAZAKH B.V. were now transferred to NC KazMunayGas.
