Deutsche Borse expands its repertoire of events open to the public
OREANDA-NEWS. Deutsche Börse expands its repertoire of events open to the public: two introductory seminars “How does the exchange work?” and “How does Xetra trading work?” have been added to the new event programme “Experience the stock exchange“. Both seminars are held by Deutsche Börse’s Capital Markets Academy and offer background information on the economic function and the general process of exchange trading as well as trading on the fully electronic trading platform Xetra®.
The seminars are held either at Deutsche Börse’s Visitors Center, located within the Frankfurt Stock Exchange in downtown Frankfurt, or at the company’s corporate headquarters in Eschborn. Seminars at the Visitors Center are followed by an exclusive look at the trading floor from the Visitors’ Gallery, while seminar participants at the corporate headquarters in Eschborn have the opportunity to simulate Xetra trading.
“The programme offers the interested public a variety of insights into ex-change trading, which is a great point of access for newcomers” says Hauke Stars, member of the Executive Board of Deutsche Börse AG. “As an exchange organisation, we are committed to improving German equity culture. We see it as our duty to open up the topics stock exchange and stock market to the broad public, to make them accessible and understandable.”
Further components of the “Experience the stock exchange” programme are free visits to the trading floor of the Frankfurt stock exchange and evening seminars for private and semi-professional investors held by Deutsche Börse’s Capital Markets Academy. In addition, the investor website boerse-frankfurt.de provides news and background knowledge, real-time data and webinars.
