S&P: California Science Center Assigned 'A' Issuer Credit Rating; Revenue Bonds Rated 'A'
"The 'A' rating reflects our opinion of the foundation's track record of producing strong operations, maintaining a favorable market position, and maintaining financial resources that are commensurate with the rating," said S&P Global Ratings credit analyst Debra Boyd.
The 2016A and 2016B bond proceeds will refund, on a current basis, all of the 2006A and 2006B bonds to achieve economic savings.
The stable outlook reflects our expectation that during the next two years the foundation will produce surplus operations, maintain financial resources commensurate with the rating, and continue to make progress fundraising for its space and air exhibit.
